Rencontres d’Arles and its encounters with art
The opening week of the most important international photography festival that will animate the French town until September has just come to an end.
From July 3rd to September 24th, Arles will be the capital of art and photography, hosting artists, publishers, and photographers from around the world for this significant event.
For over two months, the streets and most picturesque corners of Arles will come alive with exhibitions, performances, meetings, installations, and debates, where art and photography will take center stage.
Rencontres d’Arles is, in fact, the most important international photography festival that has been taking place every summer since 1970 in this historic and delightful French location.
Over forty exhibitions in various parts of the city will tell incredible stories, showcase extraordinary characters, and present unique perspectives on the contemporary world through the photographic work of the greatest artists and photographers.
Rencontres d’Arles also serves as a launchpad for many emerging artists, providing them with the opportunity to exhibit their works in this important international setting and introduce them to a wide audience.
FAENZA PRINTING showcased at PODESTÀ
FAENZA PRINTING, who has been a leading player in the printing of photobooks and art books for years, also participated in Rencontres d’Arles within PODESTÀ.
It was a great honor for us to take part in PODESTÀ, the book festival organized by Librairie du Palais, from July 4th to 8th.
In our dedicated space inside the Cour des Podestats, where we were the only printers present, we exhibited our latest projects produced using state-of-the-art printing technologies, receiving appreciation from visitors from all over the world.
The owner of the beautiful store “Librairie du Palais”, Delphine Manjard, publicly thanked us for the quality of our work and our constant commitment to printing.
Here are the heartfelt words she addressed to us:
“We are pleased to be supported and accompanied during this opening week by Faenza Printing, a printing company that has been working with publishers and artists for over 40 years. The moment when the client goes to print and witnesses the birth of the book is very important, as it can make a difference in the final result. We experienced this firsthand by publishing a book with Faenza Printing through our publishing house Palais Book; we felt the warmth, craftsmanship, and expertise of this Italian printing company. In France, we have somewhat lost this craftsmanship, and now we seek it in you. We are proud to have been supported by you and to have benefited from all the promotion of Podestà. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
It was truly magnificent for us to participate in PODESTÀ and meet again the artists, authors, and publishers of the precious photobooks we have printed over the past years, alongside many other great figures in the art and photography sectors.
